* The Science option is in addition to core Science. This enables students to gain 3 GCSE qualifications in Science.

Teaching in year 7 is in mixed ability groups. In years 8 and 9 most subjects begin to arrange teaching sets on the basis of ability, as is the case in years 10 and 11.
